The Sustainable Economy Forum 2026 – “For a competitive and sustainable Europe” was created with the aim of creating a space for dialogue and discussion between institutions, businesses, the scientific community and civil society, with the aim of promoting an integrated vision of sustainability in which economic growth, innovation and competitiveness are combined with environmental protection and people’s well-being. The Forum aims to offer an opportunity to share experiences, good practices and innovative projects, stimulating collaboration between all the actors involved and encouraging the development of concrete solutions capable of generating economic and social value.

During the works will be explored the strategies necessary to promote the industrial and digital transition, the adoption of circular economy models and the dissemination of sustainable technologies, enhancing the opportunities offered by research and innovation. At the same time, the Forum aims to promote urban quality and social sustainability, through the design of more livable and resilient cities, sustainable living spaces, smart mobility and integrated services for citizens.

The goal of the Forum is to transform ideas and proposals into concrete actions, generating operational plans, strategic partnerships and practical tools that can be implemented at local and European level. In this way, the Forum becomes not only a place for discussion, but a real European laboratory of innovation, sustainability and competitiveness, capable of outlining a fairer, more inclusive and planet-friendly future.

Organized by Confindustria and the San Patrignano community, the Sustainable Economy Forum has consolidated itself as an international event of reflection and exchange of experiences with entrepreneurs, economists, policy-makers, social actors, intellectuals, and researchers to offer long-term solutions to the most pressing global issues.

The eighth edition of the Sustainable Economy Forum will be held on May 14, 2026.
