Catia Bastioli
CEO, Novamont
A chemist, scientist and entrepreneur, Catia Bastioli is CEO of Novamont (since October 2023 part of the Versalis – Eni Group), an industrial reality born from the results of her research activity on the development of bioplastics and biochemicals from renewable origin, according to a model of Circular Bioeconomy that she developed, intended as territorial regeneration. Since 2014, she has been President of the Italian Circular Bioeconomy Cluster SPRING. A member of key EU working groups on climate and the environment, including the Mission Board on Soil Health and Food, she was named “European Inventor of the Year 2007” for bioplastics. In 2025, she was elected to the US National Academy of Engineering (NAE) for her leadership in the industrial bioplastics sector and for driving the circular bioeconomy.

Gabriele Buia

A fourth-generation entrepreneur, Gabriele Buia is currently the Chairman and Sole Shareholder of Buia Nereo, a company that has been operating in the construction industry for sixty years. Since June 2022, he has also served as President of the Parma Industry Association (Unione Parmense degli Industriali).

Alessandro Carano

Augusto Ciarrocchi
President, Confindustria Ceramica
After graduating in law and completing his legal training, he joined the Board of Directors of Ceramica Flaminia in 1986; he has been its President and General Manager since 1999. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Centro Ceramica in Civita Castellana, where he served as President for 11 years. Awarded “Industrialist of the Year 2006 – Sanitaryware Sector” by Faenza Editrice, he led the Ceramics Section of Unindustria (2012–2020) and was a member of the Made in Italy Committee of Confindustria (2012–2019). He has been President of Confindustria Ceramica since 2024. He is the author of studies on the history and ceramics of Civita Castellana.

Frank Cinque
General Manager, E4Impact Foundation
Frank Cinque served as Managing Director of ALTIS – Graduate School Business and Society of Catholic University of Milan from 2006 to 2015.
There, in 2010, he collaborated in the launch of the E4Impact initiative to train impact entrepreneurs across Africa. In 2015, when E4Impact became a Foundation, Frank was appointed as General Manager.

Luca D’Agnese

A manager with wide experience in the energy industry, Luca D’Agnese has been in leadership roles in several Italian and international companies, including McKinsey, Enel, terna and Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP), where he has overseen Infrastructure, Policies and Advisory and is currently head of Technology Investment Strategy for CDP Equity. He has been CEO of GRTN (today GSE), Enel Romania, Slovakia and South America, and has chaired the boards of two listed companies, Trevi and GPI. Fabio Faltoni

Fabio Faltoni, an Italian engineer and entrepreneur with extensive experience in the medical and information technology sectors and in the management of integrated services within healthcare facilities, is the President of Confindustria Dispositivi Medici. He is currently a director and partner of two SMEs, KELL Srl and Sirih Srl. The first specializes in the development of medical software and telemedicine solutions, while the second focuses on the provision of clinical engineering services and integrated technological solutions. He was a pioneer in the development of clinical engineering services in Italy and founded Elettronica Bio Medicale S.p.A., later becoming CEO Italy within TBS Group SpA.

Simona Fontana
General Manager, CONAI
She holds a degree in Economics of Public Administration and International Institutions and a Master’s degree in the Economics of Public Utilities from Bocconi University. She joined CONAI in 2008 after gaining experience in research and consultancy firms. Over the years, she expanded her activities to include the prevention of the environmental impact of packaging, taking on the role of Technical Secretariat of the Prevention Working Group. In 2014, she became Head of the Prevention Area, and in 2022 she was appointed Director of the Centre for Studies on the Circular Economy at CONAI, where she coordinates, among other things, activities related to institutional projects, reporting, and studies and research on the circular economy. Since April 2024, she has been the Director General of CONAI.

Carlo Germano Ravina

Born in Turin in 1968, he graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin and went on to obtain an MBA from INSEAD. He worked for five years with Jenbacher Energiesysteme in Austria, Italy and Spain. He spent 13 years with McKinsey in Milan, seven of which as a Partner, with a strong focus on energy, utilities and renewables.

Fabio Giambelli

Fabio Giambelli has been Managing Director of Dow Italy since 2019 and also serves as Sales Director Europe for Dow Consumer Solutions – Personal Care. With more than 35 years of experience and a chemical informatics background, he is committed to strengthening Dow’s position in Italy as a leader in sustainable materials science. Present in Italy since 1960, the company employs more than 250 people locally and promotes responsible innovation, value chain synergies, and constructive dialogue with institutions, associations, and the academic community.

Maurizio Marchesini
President, Assoclima
After obtaining a diploma as an electrical engineering technician, he worked in various organizations before joining Climaveneta (De’ Longhi Group) in 1999, where he was responsible for centralized air conditioning systems.
Since 2019, following the acquisition by the Swedish Nibe Group, he has served as Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors of Rhoss, a company operating in the residential and commercial air conditioning sector. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Untes Turkey and other major U.S. companies within the Group.
He is part of the General Council of Assoclima, served as Vice President from 2020, and has been President since 2023. He is currently in his second term as President of the association.

Roberta Metsola
President, European Parliament
Roberta Metsola was elected President of the European Parliament in January 2022, becoming the youngest ever person to occupy the role. In July 2024, she was re-elected to lead the institution.
President Metsola has been vocal and firm in Europe’s support to Ukraine following Russia’s invasion.
As President, she has led reforms towards a more modern, efficient and accountable Parliament.
President Metsola prioritises reaching out to EU Member States and candidate countries, meeting people and visiting schools on the ground, and taking the message of Europe to cities, towns and villages.
She was first elected to the Parliament in 2013, as one of Malta’s first women MEPs. President Metsola was Parliament’s rapporteur on the European Border and Coastguard Regulation and co-authored its own-initiative report on protecting journalists in the EU from Strategic Lawsuits against Public Participation.
Prior to her election as a MEP, President Metsola served within the Permanent Representation of Malta to the EU and as the legal advisor to the Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs & Security Policy. In her student years, she campaigned for Malta’s EU membership and she credits the referendum on Malta’s accession to the EU as the catalyst for her political career at a young age.
Professionally she is a lawyer specialised in European law and politics. She completed an Erasmus exchange in France and graduated from the University of Malta and the College of Europe in Bruges.

Letizia Moratti

Letizia Moratti is the President of the National Executive Council of Forza Italia and a Member of the European Parliament in the EPP Group.

Felipe Morgulis

Felipe Morgulis is the President of UPS Healthcare’s Logistics and Distribution business at global level. He leads an expanding healthcare logistics network offering temperature-controlled storage and transportation solutions designed to handle the most critical shipments with speed, quality and reliability. A Brazilian national, he joined UPS in 2022 via the Bomi acquisition, where he previously served as COO and VP of Operations, driving expansion and operational excellence across Europe and Latin America.

Marco Nocivelli
Vice President for Industrial Policies and Made in Italy, Confindustria
Marco Nocivelli was born in Verolanuova (BS) in 1966.
Since March 2019, he has been President of Anima (Federation of National Associations of the Miscellaneous and Related Mechanics Industry).
After classical studies, he graduated from the Politecnico di Milano in Industrial Technology Engineering with an Economic-Organisational focus and began his career at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).
In 1995, he moved to France where he became Director of the Vendôme production site.
In 2000, he returned to Italy to become CEO of Costan, a company in the family group.
Since 2005, he has been responsible for the internationalisation of the Epta Group and in 2011 he became its Managing Director. Since 2016, he has also been Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group, which, under his leadership, achieves more than 1,400 million in turnover with more than 7,000 people spread across its 11 production sites and more than 60 branches.
Since his return to Italy, he has actively participated in the associative life of Confindustria: he was President of Assofoodtec (Italian Association of Manufacturers of Machinery, Plants, Equipment for Food Production, Processing and Preservation) and of Assocold (Italian Manufacturers of Cooling Technology).
In 2015, he was appointed Vice-President of ANIMA (Federation of National Associations of the Miscellaneous and Related Mechanics Industry) with responsibility for Economic Relations. Then in 2019 he was elected President of the association, a position that was renewed in 2023 for a further two-year term.
Among other awards, in 2015 he received the ‘Di Padre in Figlio – il gusto di fare impresa’ (From Father to Son – the taste of doing business) award in the ‘Internationalisation’ category, which was renewed in 2023 with the first prize overall, and in 2017 he won the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the Family Business category.
In 2020 he was made a Knight of Labour.

Francesco Nonno
President, FTTH Council Europe
Francesco Nonno joined Open Fiber S.p.A. in July 2017, where at present is the Head of Regulatory and European Affairs. He is also a Board Member and President of FTTH Council Europe.
After a degree in Economic and Social Sciences at Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi di Milano in 1989, he has been working for more than 30 years in the electronic communication Industry, mainly on regulatory and competition issues.
In the first ten years following his degree, he worked in consultancies specialized in telecommunications, in Italy and France, acting as responsible of projects of strategic analysis and of market positioning of products and services.
Beginning in 1998 and for about 6 years he took part to the set up of the Autorità per le Garanzie per le Comunicazioni (the Italian National Regulatory Authority), where he became responsible for the enforcement of the telecommunications regulation within the Department in charge of enforcing the regulatory framework in all industries controlled by the NRA.
Since 2004 to June 2017 he worked for Telecom Italia Group, where he acted in different roles within the Regulatory Department, including the responsibility of the relations with the National Regulatory Authority, the National Competition Authority, the National Energy Authority and the Privacy Authority.

Gilberto Pichetto Fratin is the minister for Environment and Energy Security in Meloni’s government. Elected to the Chamber of Deputies, already Senator in two legislatures, he was undersecretary and then deputy minister at the Ministry of Economic Development during the Draghi government. In his current role, he aims to establish a new sustainable economic growth model, aligned with the EU’s decarbonization goals and address the increasingly complex climate situation. Giovanna Ricuperati

Graduated in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Bergamo, she then specialised in International Business at Harvard University.
In 1994, she founded MULTI (formerly Multi-Consult), a consulting firm headquartered in Bergamo with an office in Munich, providing strategic planning, internationalisation and digital marketing consultancy services. As Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of MULTI, she leads a team of 40 collaborators supporting companies across Italy operating in a wide range of B2B and B2C sectors in their international growth and expansion strategies. She also designs and develops projects aimed at enhancing production supply chains and industrial ecosystems.
In 2017, she founded Multi-Design to develop a luxury fitness design product line under the Ciclotte brand.
From 2019 to 2021, she served on the Board of Directors of the University of Bergamo, and from 2017 to 2021 she was President of LUBERG, the University of Bergamo Alumni Association.
In 2017, she became Vice President of Confindustria Bergamo, responsible for Territorial Strategies, the Research Unit, and Communications, following her appointment in 2011 as a Board Member of the Innovative Technological Services Group, of which she became President in 2014. In June 2022, the Assembly of Confindustria Bergamo elected her President for the 2022-2026 term.

Andrea Rustioni
CEO, IGP Decaux
Andrea Rustioni is the CEO of IGPDecaux, where he rose through the ranks after serving as General Manager since 2022 and, prior to that, as Director of Assets and Development. He has led key projects such as the acquisition and integration of Clear Channel in Italy, the anniversary projects for the relaunch of public transportation in Rome (Eterna digital bus shelters and Metro Line A), the relaunch of bike sharing in Milan and Verona, and the strong growth of Digital Out of Home in many Italian cities, empowering the group’s leadership in the OOH sector.

Paolo Scaroni

Paolo Scaroni is currently Chairman of Enel, Chairman of Giuliani Pharmaceuticals, and Chairman of AC Milan.
He graduated in Economics from Bocconi University in Milan in 1969.
He began his career at Chevron (1969–1971).
After obtaining a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Columbia University in New York in 1972, he joined McKinsey & Company as a consultant (1972–1973).
He subsequently joined Saint-Gobain in 1973, holding various managerial roles in Italy (1973–1978), Latin America (1978–1983), and Paris (1984–1985).

An expert in energy geopolitics, he was an adjunct professor at Bocconi University, where he taught in the Master’s program in Energy Transition and Energy Geopolitics.

Agostino Scornajenchi
Chief Executive Officer and General Manager, Snam
Agostino Scornajenchi, born in Rome in 1972, has been Chief Executive Officer of Snam since May 2025.
With thirty years of experience, primarily in the large energy infrastructure sector, he has held positions of increasing responsibility in major Italian and international groups.
From October 2023 until his current position, he served as CEO and General Manager of CDP Venture Capital Sgr, a company owned by CDP and Invitalia aimed at promoting venture capital to support emerging start-ups, stimulating innovation and economic growth in Italy.
From 2017 to 2023, he was CFO of Terna, Europe’s largest independent transmission system operator (TSO), where his responsibilities included the definition of the group’s strategic plan and the implementation of its first sustainable finance initiatives. During this period, he also served as Executive Chairman of Brugg Cables AG, a leading manufacturer of high-tech HV cables, accessories, and advanced solutions, upon completion of its acquisition by Terna which he also oversaw.
From 2015 to 2017, he was Head of Strategic Planning & Control in the Poste Italiane Group, overseeing the IPO process initiated by the Italian government. Until 2015, he was CFO of Engie Energy Southern Europe, active in the generation, trading, sale, and distribution of electricity and gas.
Previously, he served as CFO of AceaElectrabel (an Acea/Electrabel joint venture) and as Head of Management Control of the Generation Division of the Enel Group.

Matteo Tiraboschi

From 2011 to 2021 he held the role of Executive Deputy Chairman and since 2002, the year he joined
the company as Chairman of a subsidiary, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of Brembo
S.p.A.
He has served in roles of increasing responsibility at Brembo, including at an international level, such as
Head of Foreign Subsidiaries, Group CFO and Investor Relator.
After obtaining a degree in Economics and Business from the University of Bergamo, and after being
admitted to the Bergamo Accountants Association and the Register of Statutory Auditors in 1995, he

matters, while also serving as Director and Statutory Auditor in various companies.
He has served as Director of two Italian SPACs and he has been a member of the Board of Directors of
Milan Polytechnic from 2017 to 2025.
